Democrats call for more extensive food assistance waivers

A decision by the Kasich administration to accept a waiver of food assistance rules for only parts of the state is getting some pushback from Democrats and poverty advocates. Rep. Dan Ramos, D-Lorain, called upon state legislators today to support a bill he is sponsoring that will address what he says is inequity in food assistance.
