Crazy warmth sets a record, and Sunday probably will, too

Columbus’ temperature on Saturday reached a high of 68 degrees at 2:04 p.m., said Brian Coniglio, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Wilmington. That’s 27 degrees above the average temperature for Dec. 12, and it broke the record high of 65 degrees, set in 1949.
