CPD: Late night gas station robberies likely connected

Columbus police say at least two overnight robberies around the city were most likely carried out by the same thief.Just before 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered the BP gas station on Hilliard Rome Road armed with a gun and demanded cash.The clerk handed over the money and the perpetrator fled the scene.A short time later, a Thornton’s on North Wilson Road was also robbed by a suspect believed to be the same man in the BP robbery.Around 3:40 a.m., a man attempted to rob the Speedway on
