Convention Center food-pact probe puts 5 on spot

For months, officials in charge of the Greater Columbus Convention Center said the process to select a food vendor for one of the busiest hubs in the region had been legitimate. But from the beginning, records and interviews show, the process had been tainted by John Raphael, a member of the Franklin County Facilities Authority’s board and also a lobbyist for Centerplate, a food-service company that was looking to break into the Columbus market.
