Computer-data freeze drags on for 5 days for Columbus schools

A computer malfunction left thousands of Columbus City Schools employees unable to access their documents for five days last week. Fixing the problem required the district’s data-processing department to move huge amounts of data from the Kingswood Data Center near Ohio State University to a warehouse backup site near the state fairgrounds, tying up the bandwidth and slowing other systems.
