Community meetings to seek input for new comprehensive plan

A steering committee leading the "One Decatur" initiative - for development of the city's comprehensive plan - will hold the two-hour meetings Nov. 1-3 at Burningtree Country Club and Brookhaven, Cedar Ridge and Oak Park middle schools. At a cost of up to $221,000, the City Council hired Planning Next, of Columbus, Ohio, in May to lead the city in the formation of the comprehensive plan, which will focus on growth, zoning, infrastructure, government, schools and much more for Decatur in the next
