Commissioners approve new Fairfield County operating budget

LANCASTER, Ohio — Fairfield County commissioners approved a $44.4 million general-fund budget this morning for next year, less than this year’s approximately $45.4 million budget. The commissioners said the new budget reflects public safety as a priority, with the sheriff’s office accounts for $10.6 million of the total.
