Columbus Zoo calls its gorilla exhibit safe
As controversy swirls around the Cincinnati Zoo's decision to kill a gorilla after a 4-year-old boy entered its exhibit, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium says there’s no way a person, let alone a 4-year-old child, could get into the gorilla enclosure here. President and CEO Tom Stalf said Columbus' gorilla exhibit is completely enclosed by wire mesh on the outside and visitors view the animals indoors through thick glass walls.
