Columbus to spend $1 billion-plus on capital projects

Columbus plans to earmark more than $1 billion in 2018 to resurface streets, rebuild recreation centers, buy gunfire-detection technology to aid police, and address other capital projects. The 2018 capital budget is larger than last year's $861 million spending plan and includes more new money.
