Columbus teachers approve new 3-year contract agreement

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus City School teachers voted to pass a new 3-year contract Sunday evening.The new contract includes pay raises, smaller class sizes and a new trauma-informed in-school discipline program as an alternative to out-of-school suspension.The Columbus Education Association met at Kasich Hall at the state fairgrounds to review the contract and vote on the conceptual agreement that the union and district reached earlier this month.According to the union, more than 4,000 teach
