Columbus teachers approve 'final offer' contract with lower raises

The teachers union for Columbus City Schools ratified a "final offer" contract from the school board that gives raises of 1.5 percent this year and 1 percent the next, a deal many members disliked. Some members of the Columbus Education Association were visibly upset as they filed out of the mass meeting at the Ohio State Fairgrounds Tuesday evening.
