Columbus’ summer food program starts cooking

Ohio State University senior Aaliyah Barnes spent many summers at the Linden Community Center. She grew up a few blocks away, and the center served as a safe place outside school. After she graduated high school, she kept coming back as a volunteer for a program that provides a safe place and something else that kids miss when school’s out for the summer: a nutritious meal.
