Columbus State boosts students’ chances of success

Plenty of people in Genesis Butler’s shoes might have given up on college by now. At 33, she already had been knocked down a few times before she started at Columbus State Community College this past summer. She bounced among her parents and three foster homes from sixth grade on and graduated from high school with little preparation and few resources for college.
