Columbus schools winnowing levy options
The Columbus Board of Education began the process of altering the district's facilities master plan Tuesday night, focusing on the reconstruction of two high schools and putting off the rebuilding of 11 others, in an attempt to move the district closer to a November ballot issue that would help pay for it. Superintendent Dan Good said after the meeting that a citizen millage panel has given him instructions to craft an operating levy of about 7 mills.
