Columbus Police conducting 2 sobriety checkpoints overnight

Columbus Police will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints Friday night.The first will be located on E. Fifth Avenue near Sterling Avenue in east Columbus.It is scheduled from 9 and 11 p.m. Friday.The second will be operated on Alum Creek Drive at Memory Lane in southeast Columbus.This checkpoint will go from 1 and 3 a.m. Saturday.Those who will consume alcohol are reminded to plan for a designated driver and make sure others do not drive while impaired.---EDITOR’S NOTE: Why are the locat
