Columbus murder rate on track to eclipse 10-year high

The Columbus murder rate is on track to break a 10-year high from 2008.Last year's record was 106 murders, and the city is nearing the a 10-year high of 109 murders.In 24 hours, there were four homicides this week - which pushes Columbus' murder rate to 107.Included in this record is the recent double homicide in southeast Columbus Tuesday afternoon.Police are also trying to figure out what led up to a triple shooting in southeast Columbus where two people died, and one suffered injuries.
