Columbus man killed in crash on SR-736

The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Tuesday on SR-736.Authorities received a call at 3:18 p.m. reporting the crash in the 8000 block involving a Chevrolet Malibu that drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree.Crews on the scene pronounced the driver, 55-year-old John McKinley of Columbus, deceased at 3:34 p.m.McKinley was transported to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
