Columbus man charged with rape of 4-year-old boy

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Columbus man has been charged with rape of a 4-year-old boy.According to court records, the boy was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after concerns he was being sexually assaulted.Detectives say the investigation led them to interview Walter L. Smith.During the initial interview with Smith denied touching the boy inappropriately.
