Columbus homicides track 2015 tally despite last week’s spike
In a week when gun violence claimed four lives and wounded at least 11 others in Columbus, Tammy Pennington and her family were front and center for some of the worst of it. Two of the four homicides between June 11 and Friday occurred on Larry Place, the short cul-de-sac on the East Side that Pennington uneasily calls home. Despite the run of shootings last week, Columbus police said there does not appear to be an increase in homicides or assaults this year.
