Columbus fires Parking Violations administrator after fraud probe

Columbus’ parking enforcement administrator, Mike Mercurio, has been fired after an investigation found he was complicit in another employee falsifying time records. Department of Public Service Director Jennifer Gallagher fired Mercurio today after the city's internal investigation found he was not enforcing work rules. Another Columbus Parking Violations Bureau employee has resigned amid an investigation of allegations that she falsified time cards and stole from the public.
