Columbus Council accepting applications to fill vacancy

The Columbus City Council will take applications through noon on Dec. 11 to replace Councilwoman Eileen Y. Paley, who will leave the council to become a judge in Franklin County Municipal Court. The remaining six council members will choose candidates to interview in closed-door meetings Jan. 5-6. They plan to appoint the new council member at their meeting on Jan. 11.
