Columbus City Schools blames state for funding shortfall
The Columbus City School Board says it plans to lose $110 million it projected to receive from the state.Because of that, the district says it will likely cut 163 full-time employees. The district says many of those cuts will likely come from attrition.The cuts come after voters approved a 2016 school levy in November that promised the hiring of 325 employees.
