Columbus City Council to settle excessive force lawsuit

The Columbus City Council is expected to approve an $85,000 lawsuit settlement for a man who claimed a Columbus police officer used excessive force during an incident outside a bar. Jordan Helman said he was trying to stop a fight outside the BBR Bar, 106 Vine St., in the Arena District when Officer Anthony Pray punched him for no reason.
