Code officers find problems, few residents at Oakland Park Apartments

Columbus code-enforcement officers swept through the Oakland Park Apartments on Friday to check for violations, after waterlines burst there on Thursday and caused the city to vacate all 60 units. Just 16 of the units, however, were occupied. The water flooded at least one occupied apartment and one vacant one at the complex of 15 two-story brick buildings at 1871 Oakland Park Ave. in North Linden. Water and power had to be shut off.
