Clinton Township officer fires gun during chase; 2 arrested

Two people have been arrested after a brief pursuit with police where one officer fired his weapon.According to Clinton Township Police Chief Michael H. Jones, police noticed a U-Haul van that was stolen in the 3700 block of Cleveland Avenue.The officer was able to pull the vehicle over and Jones said the people in the van cooperated with the officer at first.When the officer tried to open the driver’s side door so the driver could get out, Jones said the person behind the wheel drove away
