City, county weighing options for paying for expanded Hilton

Columbus and Franklin County officials are weighing how a deal to back bonds for a second Hilton hotel next to the Greater Columbus Convention Center would affect their own long-term finances. The Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority will announce plans Monday to build that hotel, expected to cost up to $190 million and nearly double the current Hilton's capacity to 1,000 rooms.
