Charter school sponsors say Ohio’s new evaluations go overboard

If an Ohio charter school fails to display a U.S. flag of no less than 5 feet in length during the day, the school’s sponsor could lose points on new state evaluations. The same is true if a school fails to display the state and national mottoes, can’t show it has a policy for not penalizing an employee for jury duty or can’t show it is complying with outdoor pesticide rules.
