CCAD expects students to be drawn to new comics major
For Columbus College of Art & Design, which prides itself on schooling its students in both art and commerce, the new academic major it will introduce next year seems a natural: Comics and graphic novels have gone from a $265 million industry in 2000 to $870 million in 2014, and that doesn't even touch on the recent blockbuster films featuring cartoon superheroes.
