Catholic bishop blesses aircraft in annual ceremony in Urbana

URBANA, Ohio — When you’re depending on a machine to keep you in the air, there’s no substitute for safety. Still, a little spiritual uplift never hurts. That seemed to be the prevailing opinion Sunday at the second-annual Blessing of the Aircraft and Pilots at Urbana’s Grimes Field in Champaign County, about 50 miles northwest of Columbus.
