Cases of pool-borne diarrheal disease tops 500

The number of cases of a contagious diarrheal disease in central Ohio topped 500 Friday, just before the holiday weekend and the unofficial end of summer and swimming pool season. This year’s number of cryptosporidiosis cases in Franklin and Delaware counties rose to 511 as of Friday, according to Franklin County Public Health.
