Caring for 211-year-old Granville cemetery is community effort
GRANVILLE — Jim and Minxie Fannin and Lyn Boone talk about the occupants of 300 S. Main St. like they’re introducing friends at a party. Johnny Goodrich. David Butler. Daniel Baker and Jerusha, his wife. Louisa Sawyer. Most of the friends they speak so fondly of have been dead for nearly 200 years, buried at the Old Colony Burying Ground. But they are still being cared for like family.
