Buildings back open after gas leak at Ohio University

ATHENS, Ohio – Three buildings have been evacuated on the campus of Ohio University because of a gas leak near the Ohio University Aquatics Center, according to the school.The Aquatics Center, Bird Arena, and Grover Center have been evacuated as a precaution after the school said lawn equipment hit a gas line valve which caused the leak.The school said Columbia Gas has repaired the valve.The Athens Fire Department is checking the gas levels at the affected buildings to make sure it is safe
