Buckeye Lake boaters could return in June under faster construction schedule

LANCASTER, Ohio – Boating could resume at Buckeye Lake in June under an expedited construction schedule that would allow for raising the water level to about five feet, Fairfield County Commissioner Dave Levacy said today. The plan calls for the workers who will build a 4.1-mile-long, 30-foot-wide berm along the route of the new dam to work two, 10-hour shifts per day six days a week, Levacy said.
