Blacks less likely than whites to use hospice care

Tanika Nabrit had always thought hospice was a place where people went to die. Even after her mother, Josephine Bell, a bighearted woman who cared for everyone as if they were family, learned in September 2014 that she had late-stage brain cancer, Nabrit and her siblings thought it was their responsibility to care for her on their own.
