Bill making cockfighting a felony passes House
Ohio would join about 40 other states that make involvement with cockfighting a felony offense under a bill that passed the House today. “We’re saying something to the entire nation that Ohio will not stand for this,” said Rep. Heather Bishoff, D-Blacklick, a prime sponsor of the bill, who said it also will help battle other criminal activity that often follows cockfighting, such as drug trafficking.
