Beverly granted requested release, Funderburk dismissed from OSU men's basketball team

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Two freshmen are now off the Ohio State University men's basketball team, according to head coach Chris Holtmann.Holtmann announced Friday evening that Braxton Beverly was granted his requested release from the team.Redshirt freshman Derek Funderburk, who was suspended from the team in the middle of June, is now dismissed from the team for "failure to meet team expectations" according to a statement from the program.
