Backers get OK to move ahead on wage boost

The Ohio Ballot Board has given the green light to backers of a proposed constitutional amendment to boost the state minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2021. The board voted 4-0 for the Ohio Fair Wage Amendment in a Statehouse meeting on Friday that lasted just 2 minutes, 48 seconds. The issue proposed by a five-member citizens’ committee could appear on the 2016 ballot.
