Attempted murder charges filed against student accused in school shooting

A student accused in a shooting at a Champaign County high school was officially charged in a juvenile court Monday.The 17-year-old was charged with a total of 13 counts: one count of inducing panic, two counts of attempted murder, one count of conveying a deadly weapon in a school, three counts of felonious assault and six counts of improper discharge of a firearm.The Champaign County Prosecutor filed a motion Monday, requesting that the suspect be tried as an adult.
