Athens Sheriff K-9 stable after suspected snake bite -

Athens County Sheriff's Office K-9 Bora is in stable condition after a reported snake bite early Monday morning. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, the Athens County Sheriff's Office assisted Ohio State Patrol with a traffic accident near Dow Lake Dam on Route 50. According to a news release, Deputy Banks advised that Bora immediately jumped into the suspect vehicle and then indicated a positive response to the presence of narcotics.
