Armed suspect wanted for Dollar General robbery in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio --The Columbus Division of Police need help to identify an armed suspect in a Dollar General store robbery.On Monday, just before 10:00 a.m. the suspect entered the Dollar General in the 1200 block of Demorest Road. The suspect walked directly to the front counter and told an employee to open the register and then displayed a handgun, according to police.Investigators say the employee complied and the suspect took an unknown amount of money from the register and then fled on foot.
