Apple Pay rival CurrentC being put to test in Columbus

Catherine Simpson planned to use her new payment app, CurrentC, to buy a cup of coffee and a Frosty at Wendy’s on Wednesday. But after a few seconds of passing her smartphone in front of the cash register without success, she let a colleague pull out her own phone and use the same app flawlessly.
