Appeals court backs hotel closure

The Franklin County Court of Appeals has decided that the city of Columbus was correct when it declared the Red Carpet Inn on Rt. 161 a public nuisance and ordered it closed for a year. The court recently affirmed a Franklin County Environmental Court ruling from May 27, 2014, to close the hotel at 1289 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. for a year.
