Antibiotics for seniors overused

Federal and state health officials have a new target in the fight against the improper use of antibiotics: nursing homes. The overuse of sometimes lifesaving antibiotics at U.S. nursing homes is putting elderly and other vulnerable residents at risk and fueling the spread of deadly antibiotic-resistant superbugs, they say.
