Another delay in frack tax debate

Gov. John Kasich has been pushing Ohio lawmakers for three years to increase Ohio’s tax on shale fracking, and it looks like the wait will continue. As part of a two-year budget that excluded any changes to Ohio’s severance tax, a new legislative panel, the 2020 Tax Policy Study Committee, was ordered to produce a report on potential changes to the tax by today, Oct. 1.
