Akron considering jail time for dog owners if pet excessively barks

AKRON, Ohio – Akron City Council discussed punishment for dog owners if their pet excessively barks, according to CBS affiliate WOIO.Council member Russell Neal Jr is asking for legislation that could mean up to 30 days in jail for repeat offenders or up to $250 in fines.The current rule is owners can be fined up to $100 for excessive barking from their dog.Neal made the proposal after he received an increase in dog barking complaints.Other council members want to hear more information fro
