After OSU attack, more government-supported security upgrades critically needed: Howie Beigelman (Opinion)
The attack scene at Ohio State University Monday outside Watts Hall where an attacker subsequently identified as student Abdul Razak Ali Artan drove his car at pedestrians, then injured more using a butcher knife before he was shot to death by an OSU police officer. Howie Beigelman of Ohio Jewish Communities writes in the op-ed below that the attack underscores the need to spend more to upgrade security and harden soft targets like university campuses.
