Advocates form fund to push environmental issues in Ohio

Environmental advocates plan to bring more muscle to the fights in Ohio over clean water, energy standards, coal power plants and other issues where business interests traditionally hold strong political clout. For years, the Ohio Environmental Council has done policy work, legal work and coalition building in the Statehouse, often wrestling well-heeled interests including power companies, the oil and gas industry and other business groups.
