83-year-old man dies in South Side house fire

An 83-year-old man has died in a fire at a South Side house this morning. Columbus firefighters were called at 8:30 a.m. to 560 Elwood Ave., a single-family home just north of Rt. 104 and east of Groveport Road. Firefighters quickly extinguished the small fire but reported at 8:38 a.m. that they had found the man dead in the house. Other details were not immediately available.
