80-year-old man killed in west Columbus shooting

Police are investigating the shooting death of an 80-year-old man in west Columbus.Columbus Police were called to a home on South Roys Avenue near Sullivant Avenue just before 10 a.m.Police said Richard Cardwell had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.There is no suspect information or motive at this time.Anyone with information surrounding this case should contact the Columbus Division of Police, Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730.
