$2.9 million spent to keep rainwater from South Side sewers

A new park has opened where the South Side Settlement House stood for years. The new South Side Settlement Heritage Park, with its playground and basketball court, also will filter storm water, as will four rain gardens the city is building on the South Side, part of a $2.9 million pilot project that is part of the Blueprint Columbus effort to reduce the city’s cost to fix sewer overflows.
